Indoor and beach volleyball
Volleyball nights where everyone refs their share.
PowerSchedule started in a Tuesday-night co-ed volleyball league. It knows sets, deciding sets, win-by-two and caps, work teams, and why nobody wants the 9:30 match every week.
Start from a ruleset
Every rule editable| VolleyballRec indoor | 3 sets played, 25-25-15, FIVB points |
| VolleyballBest of 3 | 3rd set only if 1-1, 25-25-15, FIVB points |
| VolleyballBest of 5 | First to 3 sets, 25s with a 15-point 5th, FIVB points |
| VolleyballTwo timed sets | 2 sets to 21, a 1-1 split is a tie, 1 point per set |
| Beach VolleyballBest of 3 | 21-21-15, win by 2, 2 points a win |
| Beach VolleyballOne set to 21 | A single set to 21, win by 2 |
Each one fills in the format, scoring, standings and tiebreakers, and writes starter rules for your captains that you can change.
How a season goes
A work team on every match
Tell it your gyms, courts and time slots, and the schedule puts a team on ref duty for every match: up-ref, down-ref, scorekeeper and lines. It picks a team that plays that night, right before or after its own match where it can, so teams don't come in just to ref.
Over the season the duties even out. The fairness report shows every team with about the same number of early matches, late matches and ref shifts.

Set scores from the bench
Each captain has a four-digit PIN. After the match they type in the set scores on their phone, or keep score live from the first serve so the rest of the league can follow along.
The scorekeeper knows your format: 25-25-15, three sets played, best of three or best of five, two timed sets that can split, and whether sets are capped at 27 or won by two. It works out the winner from the sets, and asks for the deciding set when it's needed.

Standings the way volleyball counts them
FIVB points (3 for a win without a deciding set, 2 and 1 when it goes the distance), a point per set won, or plain wins and losses. Set ratio and point ratio as tiebreakers, then head-to-head, all written out under the table.

Also
Beach leagues too
Sand courts, 21-21-15 or a single set to 21, win by two, and the same fair schedule and standings as indoor.
Co-ed rules on paper
The starter rules cover co-ed lineups, women on court, lateness and forfeits, and common net and centre-line calls, ready to edit for your league.
Double headers
Two matches a night, back to back or spaced out, with the odd team out given the night off when the numbers don’t divide.
Questions
- Can a league play three sets every night, even if it’s 2-0?
- Yes. Pick "Rec indoor" (three sets played, 25-25-15) and every set counts in the standings. Best of three, best of five and two timed sets are there too.
- What if our ref teams aren’t playing that night?
- You can turn work teams off per division, or move a ref duty by hand. The schedule shows who refs which match on every printout.
- Do captains need an account?
- No. Each team gets a PIN. Captains pick their team, type the PIN and enter scores. Admins sign in with an email link, no password.
- We run indoor in winter and beach in summer. Is that two subscriptions?
- No. One price covers every league you run in the year, in any sport.
